We find that localization of electromagnetic waves occurs in a Robertson-Walker universe with time-independent metric stochasticity, while time-dependent metric stochasticity induces exponential instability in the particle production rate. For the Schwarzschild metric, timeindependent randomness can decrease the total luminosity of Hawking radiation due to multiple scattering of waves outside the black hole and gives rise to event horizon fluctuations and thus fluctuations in the Hawking temperature.

Caustic echoes from a Schwarzschild black hole
We present the first numerical approximation of the scalar Schwarzschild Green function in the time domain, which reveals several universal features of wave propagation in black hole spacetimes. We demonstrate the trapping of energy near the photon sphere and confirm its exponential decay. The trapped wavefront passes through caustics resulting in echoes that propagate to infinity. The arrival ...
متن کاملSimulation of Wave Propagation over Coastal Structures Using WCSPH Method
In this paper a space-averaged Navier–Stokes approach was deployed to simulate the wave propagation over coastal structures. The developed model is based on the smoothed particle hydrodynamic (SPH) method which is a pure Lagrangian approach and can handle large deformations of the free surface with high accuracy. In this study, the large eddy simulation (LES) turbulent model was coupled with th...

Propagation of Electromagnetic wave in a plasma in the equilibrium state can cause instability. Investigating the situations in which this kind of instability occurs and grows is an important issue. In this paper, Raman instability in plasma is analyzed by particle simulation method. In terms of physical investigation, plasma is a very complicated environment and experimentally too expensive. ...
متن کاملInvestigating the Third Order Solitary Wave Generation Accuracy using Incompressible Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics
This paper examines the generation and propagation of a Third order solitary water wave along the channel. First the Incompressible Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (ISPH) numerical method is described and the boundary condition handling method is presented. The numerical model is then used to simulate solitary wave propagation along the fixed depth channel. The numerical results are compared wi...
متن کاملSimulation of Gravity Wave Propagation in Free Surface Flows by an Incompressible SPH Algorithm
This paper presents an incompressible smoothed particle hydrodynamics (SPH) model to simulate wave propagation in a free surface flow. The Navier-Stokes equations are solved in a Lagrangian framework using a three-step fractional method. In the first step, a temporary velocity field is provided according to the relevant body forces. This velocity field is renewed in the second step to include t...
